Doctor update...

Hello! I had my follow up appointment this morning and all is well! He said I do not have to see him again as long as it stays good until next January. He said the adhesive will come off on it's own and not to help it, thank goodness!! I was afraid he was going to rip it off today lol. Also no lifting or exercise for 3 more weeks, I can handle that. I just need to figure out how to get Sophie to the groomer, that poor dog needs a haircut ha.

He did tell me I just have one of those weird diseases, well of course I do lol, we wouldn't expect anything less from me!

That's all for now - I'll blog tomorrow about my weight! I'm not expecting anything much, I feel that since I hit 20 pounds I've just stalled out which is why I was hoping I could start exercising but I will listen to the doctor and wait 3 weeks!

Until next time...

Survived surgery, barely survived the scale...

I had my surgery on Monday and so far it's okay. Definitely moments of pain! But I'm off the pain killers, just Ibuprofen as needed 👍🏻 I try not to take them.

So I didn't stay for the meeting this week at Weight Watchers but I did go weigh in this morning and the results...

As I mentioned last week I was just hoping to maintain and I did! So even though it's not a loss this week I'm okay with that!

Well onto the healing and next week maybe I'll have a recipe to share! Until next time...

A day late, with good reason...

I didn't forget to update yesterday, we had guests over night! It was so great to spend time with my lovely friend Janae and her son Xander. We had a great visit and then I dropped them off at the airport today. Come back soon!! I miss you already!!

I didn't even think to get a picture with you...

Last week went great with the weight. I think maybe I was preparing for this coming week with the surgery lol, because my number was definitely lower than I thought....

Woooohooo!

I got another - 5 pound sticker, 5 more pounds and I get another charm!

I went by my dad's after my meeting and he asked what my goal is for the coming week with the surgery. I told him I'm not pressuring myself I just hope to maintain. I'm just waiting for this surgery to be done and heal and get on with it! Send out those thoughts and prayers Monday morning at 6:30 a.m. that's when my surgery is!  This is just a test to how strong I can be, I got this!!!! #inittowinit!

Until next time...

Wait...

I wanted to add that my doctor called this morning to tell me that she can't refill my meds until she sees me and she had an appointment this a.m. at 8:30 so I went (luckily my guests slept in!) and we discussed that I need to get current blood work because with the weight loss there is a chance I don't need to be on the Metformin for Diabetes. And that, my friends, is why I'm working so hard! I mean to look and feel good of course but to get off of these meds! It was a great positive appointment, so I just need to get my blood drawn before March 23rd. She of course understood with the surgery I need some time. #inittowinit!

Feeling pretty good.

Today was a great day. I realized I'm really in it to win it and I want to hit that goal this time and stay there. No food is worth my health, pains or bad feelings about myself. That side by side picture I posted the other day I stared at about 50 times that day - I couldn't believe that was me and my change in under 7 weeks. It really made me want to keep going!

So as I mentioned last time I wasn't able to weigh in while doing the Arabian so I missed 2 weigh ins. I also wasn't sure how the Arabian was going to go, last year I'm pretty sure I gained 10 pounds between the free donuts, cheeseburgers and fries and ice cream it was a bad year food wise. After that show was when I was diagnosed with Diabetes, I wasn't too surprised. However this year I brought my own foods and only ate 2 times at the show out of the 11 days! Go me!

So here we are 2 weeks later and the numbers are.....

Today I also received another - 5 pound sticker and I got the 5% charm for my key chain - I've lost 5% people!! That's awesome!!

Well I was debating on whether or not to share this news, but since it might alter my weight loss, I guess in a way I owe it to my cheerleaders/supporters (you) to let you know. Now I plan on pre-making meals and had a discussion with John about not just picking food up and just plan on being positive so hopefully it goes smoother this time. The news is, I have to have surgery again, remember my duct removal of the left breast 2.5 years ago? (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, ask and I'll let you know). Now I have to have the right one done, my surgery is scheduled for March 7th, so it's in a week and half. I will try not to drive you all crazy with it this time lol. I went back to my other blog when I found out I had to have surgery again and read it all, I rolled my eyes a lot at myself ha. So on the 7th just send out some prayers or thoughts and I'll do my best to keep my weight loss going and we'll see what happens!

Have a great week!

Until next time...

I survived!

I know there hasn't been a post the past few weeks, this time of year I work for my mom-in-law at the Arabian Horse Show, which is an 11 day show. I didn't get to weigh in at Weight Watchers for 2 weeks, it was torture ha, but I'll be back there Thursday so for this post I have no update on my weight but I have an incredible picture to share, well I think it's incredible!

The picture on the left was taken January 31st and the right, this morning. I'd say I definitely see a difference! I'm kind of excited to see what my weigh in will be on Thursday *fingers crossed*!

Here's just an extra picture of my sister and I, she worked a few days with us. I know this was on Instagram and Facebook but here it is again....

Well I thought the Arabian show was going to be really hard because of the foods. I'm pretty sure last year I gained 10 pounds at the show, daily I had burgers and fries, free donuts and ice cream - it was stupid. This year all except for 2 days I took my food, I had a bin full of low point snacks and a cooler full of drinks and low point snacks, I couldn't have been anymore prepared than I was and I think it shows.

Thursday I will have another post, a weight update, so until then keep your fingers crossed for good numbers!

P.S. I almost forgot the most important thing - the whole point of this post! My non-scale victory is those pants I'm wearing today are a size smaller! They've been on a shelf with tags for 2 years!

First month on Weight Watchers...

Well technically Sunday will be a month, if we want to be exact! So far I'm feeling pretty good about it. There are things I miss, but feel eventually I won't even think about it. Oprah's new WW commercial about 'I eat bread everyday' frightens me lol. I don't think I could eat bread everyday now. I did before daily, especially at dinner, but not now...

One of my favorite breakfasts though which does have an English muffin is this one:

(Look at that beautiful picture I took)

It is 5 to 6 smart points
Light English muffin toasted 3 points
1 wedge Light Laughing Cow cheese 1 point (halved for each piece of muffin)
2 slices Canadian Bacon 1 point
1/4 cups Egg Beater 0 points
 or
1/2 cup Egg Beater 1 point

5 points with 1/4 cup egg beaters
6 points with 1/2 cup egg beaters

This fills me up nicely until lunch, you can always add a piece of fruit if you need to for 0 points. Love those 0 point fruits!

Now onto the good stuff -

Drum roll please....

- 1.6 for the week
For a total of 12.8

I'm happy with that!

I decided to start another Instagram that will do more with my weight loss journey as well, so if you'd like to follow it my name is @teesasays_ww I started following a few people on the same Weight Watchers journey and have already found a few great recipes to try! I won't request to add you though, if you want to follow it's up to you! :-)

I think that covers it for the week! The next 2 weeks I will be working with my mother-in-law at The Arabian Horse Show so I won't be able to go to my Thursday meetings but I should be able to run in and get weighed. I'll keep you updated on how the show goes with my food battle eek! It's hard at those shows sometimes, but I'm pretty much prepared with foods and snacks. Just send me wishes to keep my numbers in check!!

Have a great week until next time...

Can't think of a clever title tonight...

Hello! Well another week down and feeling pretty good!

In our meeting we are asked about victories or hardships for the week. Well this week I had a victory, to me anyway and was happy to share with the group. Yesterday I went to lunch with my sister and dad and we went to The Habit, well I ordered the grilled chicken salad *4 smart points before dressing* (if you haven't tried it you should! It was really good and BIG) and I told Julie that she needed to share 5 fries with me, that was all, just 5. I got my salad and didn't finish it all before I was full and THEN I realized I didn't even have those 5 fries, nor did I want them. Go me!

So today in the meeting I got the 4 weeks key chain - I love the small tokens to have for victories. And I got the - 5 pound sticker, I guess at this moment I can give my numbers...

- 1.8 pounds
Total - 11.2 in 3 weeks

I'm on my way!

Today I went to the quilt and sewing expo and wore my sewing shirt...

(this is the end of the day and blurry ha)

I DID NOT buy any fabric though ha. I did however buy some cool sewing things.

Well I don't have any new recipes this week, hopefully next week.

That's all for this week! Have a great one and see you on the next update!

Oh also I was pleased to learn since the Arabian Horse Show starts later this year I will be able to still attend the weigh ins for those 2 Thursdays (just not the meetings). That's good to keep me in check while I'm there, it'll be hard but I plan on taking snacks and meals!

Until next time...
